As agriculture encounters a range of evolving challenges, the Hybrid Rice Development Consortium (HRDC) is dedicated to enhancing hybrid rice research. By fostering genetic improvement, facilitating knowledge exchange, and developing climate-resilient rice varieties, HRDC actively supports initiatives aimed at boosting rice productivity and ensuring food security. Through collaboration with both public and private sector partners, the consortium is committed to accelerating scientific advancements and bridging the gap between research and industry to promote the adoption of hybrid rice more widely.
HRDC Annual Meeting Scheduled for April 2025
In line with this commitment, the Hybrid Rice Development Consortium (HRDC) will hold its Annual Meeting on April 22-23, 2025, at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) Headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna. The event will bring together members and key stakeholders to discuss advancements in hybrid rice, address industry challenges, and explore opportunities for innovation.
The program will feature panel discussions, updates on IRRI’s research agenda, and networking sessions aimed at strengthening collaboration and driving progress in hybrid rice research and adoption.
